Since the oil industry was deregularized in 1998, the need for LPG has been growing steadily. In this light, PR Gaz Haus is also confidently moving into this new millennium as a successful, expanding and most importantly—a customer-focused business.

History

PR Gaz Haus is “a vision in action”.

Two entrepreneurs allied on a strategic partnership to pursue a common aspiration of becoming the leader in LPG products and services. Starting with only a single refilling plant in 2001, the company now has four (4) refilling plants and more than sixty-five (65) LPG convenience stores. Its growing workforce has more than two hundred (200) sales-driven personnel.

PR Gaz Haus is continuously striving to make its products always available and accessible to consumers, thus, opening more outlets of common products and service quality.

PR Gaz Haus Holdings, Inc. is the only bulk and retail company in the Philippines that delivers products and services at its customer’s doorstep.

Milestones

  • 7th June 2001
    President/CEO Mr. Nelson C. Par incorporated PR 1 Gas Inc.
    PR 1 Gas, Inc., the first refilling plant built and operated by PR Gaz Haus Holdings, Inc., gained a monthly sales average of 750MT (metric tons) servicing both dealers and retail outlets.

  • June 2001
    PR 2 Gas Inc. and PR 3 Gas Inc. were incorporated with a combined plant capacity of 80MT (each plant has 2 x 20MT).
    In a year of operation, PR 2 Gas Inc. and PR 3 Gas Inc. gained a monthly sales average of 200MT and 750MT, respectively.

  • 2nd September 2002
    PR 4 Gas Inc. was incorporated adding to the PR Gaz Haus subsidiaries. The new refilling plant services all existing dealers in Pangasinan. Company-owned retail outlets are opened not long after.

  • 10th February 2003
    To administer all three existing corporations, PR Holdings, Inc. was incorporated, later becoming PR Gaz Haus Holdings, Inc.

  • February 2003
    “Bringing the product to the users’ doorsteps”, PR Gaz Haus embarked on direct selling, giving birth to three (3) more companies under PR Gaz Haus Holdings, Inc.: the PR 1 Gas Mktg. Inc.; the PR 2 Gas Mktg. Inc.; and the PR 3 Gas Mktg. Inc. All three carry Caltex LPG.
    With each Marketing arm focusing on their respective areas, PR Gaz Haus put up thirty-seven (37) retail stores and continuously grew thereafter.

  • January 2004
    PR Gaz Haus became the first in the LPG industry to engage in franchising to deliver the products and services into the far countryside. The franchise network was then alongside forty (40) company-owned retail outlets, supported by the four (4) refilling plants.
    The company also increased its fleet of lorry trucks to 10, enhancing its logistical capability while enhancing product availability.

  • November 2004
    PR Gaz Haus formally launched its Franchising Program after opening its 50th LPG Convenience store.

  • 28th March 2005
    PR Gaz Haus opened its first Franchised LPG Convenience Store and second store in Imus, Cavite. It is operated by James Mazo (Mazo Star Gaz Express).

  • February 2006
    PR Gaz Haus promoted its franchise program at Go Negosyo Expo held at the Market Market in Taguig from February 24 to 25.
    Franchisees Jacky Caja of Castillejos Branch, Dads Dalope of Malued Branch and Thelma Peralta of Bonuan Branch signed up their franchise stores.
    Gazman opened the Castillejos Branch, PR2 - Zambales and Malued Branch, PR4 - Pangasinan franchise stores.
    PR Gaz Haus introduced a new product, PR Gaz Sakto.
    Gazman joined Singkamas Festival in Zambales.

  • March 2006
    Franchisee Dads Dalope signed up for another franchise in San Carlos area together with Frank Mauricio and Mr. Jj Marcelino who signed up Roces Branch and Putatan Branch, respectively.
    PR Gaz Haus opened Bonuan Branch, PR4 – Pangasinan and San Carlos Branch, PR4 – Pangasinan.

  • April 2006
    Gazman joined Bangus Festival in Dagupan City.
    PR Gaz Haus opened Putatan Branch, PR3 - Cavite/Laguna.

  • May 2006
    Gazman held its first internal sportsfest. PR4 – Pangasinan emerged as the PRGH Basketball Champion as the Head office and PR2 – Gray bagged second and third place.

  • June 2006
    Gazman opened the Roces Branch—its first franchise in PR1 - NCR.
    PR Gaz Haus held its first PRGH Franchise Conference in Baguio City on June 23 to 25.
    July 2006
    PR Gaz Haus promoted its franchise program at the Franchise Fever 2006 held at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City from July 7 to 9 and at the Franchise Expo 2006 held from July 14 to 16 at World Trade Center, Pasay.
    PR Gaz Haus was awarded the Most Promising Franchise by the Entrepreneur Magazine. This was the first award of Gazman.

  • September 2006
    Gazman renewed Suki Cards.
    Franchisees Cesar Geronimo of Sta. Rosa 1 Branch, Jean Decena of Calasiao Branch, and Marie Yap of Damar Branch signed up their franchises.

  • October 2006
    Gazman launched its official newsletter, the PR Gazzette. The newsletter is released quarterly and is distributed to all franchised and company owned stores and to customers.
    Franchisees Cora Bangayan of San Lazaro Branch and Frank Tolentino of Calamba Branch signed up their franchises.
    PR Gaz Haus was invited to MUP (Magandang Umaga Pilipinas)

  • Oct. 5, 2006.
    Gazman opens more franchise stores: Calasiao Branch in PR4 - Pangasinan; Sta. Rosa 1 Branch of PR3 - Laguna; Damar Branch of PR1 NCR; San Lazaro Branch of PR1 - NCR; and Calamba Branch of PR3 - Laguna.
    Maagang Pamasko winners claim prizes. First prize went to Romeo Alarcon of PR2 – Balanga, Bataan. Lourdes Aquino of PR3 – Binan, Laguna and Ma. Fe Geluz of PR3 – Imus, Cavite took home second prize. Third prize went to Elsie De Guzman of PR4 – Mangaldan, Pangasinan and Elizabeth Turado of PR4 – Villasis, Pangasinan.

  • November 2006
    Franchisees Teddy Catindig of Malasiqui Branch and Yolly Satsatin of Dasmariñas 2 Branch signed up their franchisees.

  • December 2006
    In fulfilling its responsibility as a corporate citizen, Gazman visited and shared blessings to the less fortunate of Home of Joy, an orphanage in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
    PR Gaz Haus Holdings Inc. granted a wish of an employee mailed to “Wish Ko Sir” program .
    PR Gaz Haus ended the year with 49 company-owned and 22 franchised store.

  • 2007
    PR Gaz Haus receives the International Award of Distinction as a world-class franchise, while Entrepreneur Magazine names it as one of the Fastest Growing Franchises. A franchise financing agreement is signed with Plantersbank, and the revitalized corporate web site, newsletter and the 3rd Generation Suki Card system project are launched in a major corporate event. Store tally totals 83, of which, 34 are franchises.

  • 2008
    A mobile POS system is implemented in 2008 across company-owned stores initially. Total store count hits 90 by mid-year.

  • 2009
    A new company mission and vision statement is drafted. PR Gaz acquires the 1.7 hectare LPG refilling facility of Chevron Philippines Inc. in Pasig. Total number of PR Gaz Haus outlets stands at 93 to date.

  • 2010
    PR Gaz unveils its new brand logo and corporate identity. The PR Gaz Haus chain reaches 100 stores.
